Asa is a writer, filmmaker, and cinematographer having written and directed or shot over a half dozen short films. 

In addition, Asa has been making and performing music for over twenty years. He creates his own music, composes film and theater scores, produces and engineers for himself and others, as well as studies and performs free improvisational music. His work has appeared in The New York Times.

Asa graduated from the Wesleyan University film program with a minor in creative writing.
